A tiny brain workout
Stretch your logic. Skip the gym shoes.

Before you jump in
A good reasoning question rewards a method more than a lucky guess. This small workout moves between patterns, logical statements, shapes, fractions and probability. The topics are familiar, but the useful skill is noticing exactly what the question gives you—and resisting the urge to add an assumption it never made.
There is no timer, so try explaining your choice to yourself before selecting it. Could you state the rule, make a quick calculation or show why another option does not fit? After answering, compare your reasoning with the explanation. Getting the right answer is satisfying; having a method you can reuse is the more valuable result.
What you’ll explore
- Patterns and logical deductions
- Comparing quantities and simple geometry
- Reasoning about independent events
Practice a repeatable way to reason through unfamiliar-looking questions.
What comes next: 2, 4, 8, 16, …?
This is the opening question. Start the round to see the choices and test your answer.
